AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SCHEDULE OF MARKET VALUES OF ALL REAL PROPERTIES INCLUDING OTHER STRUCTURES AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS AS THE BASIS IN THE GENERAL REVISION OF REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS IN THE CITY OF MALAYBALAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH R.A. NO. 7160 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991.
Be enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Malaybalay, in session assembled,
SECTION 1. – Title – The title of this Ordinance shall be known as “ An Ordinance Revising the Schedule of Market Values of All Real Properties including other Structures and Agricultural Lands in the City. “
SECTION 2. – This Schedule of Market Values of Real Properties including other Structures and Agricultural Lands shall be the basis of the general revision of assessments and property classification within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Malaybalay for the General Revision Year 2014 and thereafter unless amended or repealed.

CSC SPORTSFEST 2014
City officials and employees converged at the Provincial Grandstand this city last September 5, 2014 in celebration of the launching ceremony of the month-long Civil Service Anniversary. Several activities have been lined-up from September 5 to 26, 2014 anchored on the theme: “Tapat na Serbisyo Alay Ko, Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako.”
During the kickoff, a program was held to formally start the celebration followed by track events and agility race. The sport events participated by officials and employees that comprised of four teams namely Gilas Azul, Green Gators, Centurion and Red Stallions.
In behalf of the Mayor, City Administrator Herculano S. Ronolo warmly welcomed the participants with enthusiasm as he reminded the employees/competitors to show the spirit of being a true sportsman. Also he encouraged everyone to do their best and focus based on their talents and skills for the contribution of the greater good. Lastly as he quoted, “All work and no play makes Juan a dull boy.”
This annual feat is done to give due recognition and time for employees to play sports of their preference which reflected in the creation of the CSC Sportsfest. It also aimed to promote camaraderie and solidarity among civil servants.
The sport events included basketball, softball, volleyball, bowling, track, swimming, agility relay and banner raising. Folk games also added are tug-o-war, sack race and tsinelas ni limahong.
Other activities slated are Talakayan ng mga Kawani on September 10, Honoring of Retirees and Recognition of Loyalty Awardees on September 19. To highlight the culmination program is the Employees Night on September 26, 2014 featuring a FranKpop Syntheses Team Competition.
Livelihood Fund Assistance under the
Bottom-Up Budgeting (Bub)
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Provincial Head Raul L. Valmores formally handed over to City Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri the release of two separate checks amounting to Php 2,068,600.00 and 435,000.00 respectively for the livelihood fund assistance under the bottom-up budgeting (BUB) during the 2nd Monday Convocation last August 11, 2014.
The livelihood projects will address the development needs of the target beneficiaries of the city after a series of consultations and collaborations between the National and Local government in consistent to their integrated livelihood program.
Malaybalay City Women’s Organization is recognized as recipient for skills training and production requirements of various recycled products as well as the Malaybalay City Balik-Pinas OFWs & Beneficiaries Association, Inc. who also has a funding intended for production of biomass briquettes (bio-coal).
The City Government being an active partner of the DOLE lined-up programs supports this initiative to implement an alternative eco-friendly and green projects aimed to reduce poverty incidence and helps to improve the lives of the qualified beneficiaries.
Aside from these grants, a total amount of Php 1,354,500.00 was also funded under the Emergency Employment Assistance program to provide temporary employment opportunities to our displaced workers here in our city under the close coordination of our local PESO Manager Herculano S. Ronolo.

Career Guidance is a series of occupational briefs to all graduating High School students in the city which aims to provide information on hard to fill and highly-in-demand occupations identified by the Department of Labor and Employment and Commission on Higher Education. The Career Guidance contain such information as the nature of the job, its education and competency requirements, earnings, employment and job outlook.
